  • Hey Congratulations NY! Having a baby can definitely add some critical stress but also maybe make you more determined to secure that dream LE job for the babies future. That's a heavy choice you have to make. Hopefully fate has the right career for you.

Congrats on the new addition to your fam! I'm not sure how old you are, but if I were you I'd jump through as many hoops as you can this go around. Worse comes to worse some of the steps may roll over speeding up your process for you should you be able to apply next opening.

Or it could be another 1-2 years from today when you get the call and your baby is walking already, who knows?

On another note, to everybody else. Rumor has it CASS only updates on Tuesdays and Thursdays? Anybody have verification on that? lol regardless, i'm sure we're all checking everyday anyway but maybe on those days you'll have extra incentive to check several times.

      • Thank you both for the congrats. I've got some important decisions to make for sure over the next few weeks.

As far as CASS goes, mine only ever updated on Tuesdays (that I recognized) if that helps.

        • Mine once updated on a Saturday night. It's how I found out my pay grade LOL.

The VBT is easy. I was terrified because I had read so many on here had trouble with it. Don't overthink it. You will be fine.

The suspense is really getting to me.
I had a dream last night that I checked cass and it said I was put in the scheduling office waiting for EOD. Then I woke up terribly bummed. -.-
So, from today I am joining both of you on waiting the last step, good luck to all of us and I pray for short waiting on the adjudication decision. I am not at all worried about the drug test.

Future, you have had a friend who got a call last month I believe, could you remember how long she waited between submitting her BI and getting the call?

Congrats on the new baby, it's definitely an event where you will have to adjust to. While we all know how rewarding this job can be and how much we all waited for, it will be good for you to take few days to clear up your mind and take a wise decision, we don't know your whole situation but I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. It will be good to join the rest of at the academy.

Maybe after all the wait, we all get to celebrate our passing all these steps and joining the academy

The sit down we all did at the start of the BI, or did you guys do that at the end too? Cause I only met my guy once and never again after that. I wonder how long they waited after their packets were submitted to DC...

I guess we'll see what happens to us.

That give us some hope that things won't wait months for all of us. Even though I am not training as I would like to but I am more than ready to go to the PFT2.

For me, the BI called me on 5/29 to set up a time to sit with me which happened on 6/05, a week later. He emailed me Sunday night, 6/15, telling me that he uploaded my case and was done with it, which means he sent it to the adjudication team. I emailed him last week asking when he was going to send my packet. So, waiting on adjudication for me started since yesterday. BI said that they only have 18 days for each applicant to finish the investigation. So calculate your days and let us know how much you have been waiting.

                        • Yaaay! Finally got my e-qip/Background e-mail. It's like I'm a real applicant now! :P Only problem is I can't get the big attachment to load... And I do have all the latest Adobe stuff installed on my computer already...
Question for you guys who already did this step: Do you have to send back your fingerprint cards at the same time as you send back the rest of the info? I'm a little nervous about being able to get that done in the time allotted--my local PD is a bit slow.

                          • Alex.... I sent my print cards about a week later. Shouldn't take too long if you just go to the lobby with the print cards they mail you and ask them to help out. The PD lobby I mean.

                            • Jade...I did the math yesterday and my BI met me on May 22nd. 19 days later he told me that me background packet was complete and had been forwarded to DC. So it looks like the 18 days alloted is spot on.

I'm a little nervous--I can't get the first attachment in the e-mail to load.
Are the forms that I need to fill out on the E-Qip website or are they in that attachment? I am able to see the second one where it's the "instructions."

I'm freaking out a little now because they gave me a deadline of 6/27 and I definitely do not want to forget anything and/or miss it.
