    (B) 11 p.m. to 8 a.m. shiftwork

    (C) 7:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. shiftwork

    (2) Sunday differential
A customs officer who performs any regularly scheduled work on a Sunday that is not a holiday is entitled to pay for that work at the officer’s hourly rate of basic pay plus premium pay amounting to 50 percent of that basic rate.

    (3) Holiday differential
A customs officer who performs any regularly scheduled work on a holiday is entitled to pay for that work at the officer’s hourly rate of basic pay plus premium pay amounting to 100 percent of that basic rate."

COPRA has it's own set of rules that differ from some of the usual ones.

Regarding your 1200-2000 example, all 8 hours receive 15% night differential.
    Very nice information. Thank you!

    • COPRA OT is 2X hourly pay, for those interested. Also, the first 50% of the overtime cap per fiscal year in OT counts towards retirement. Currently, that the first 17.5K of OT earned.

      • More good information. I'm thinking about leaving another agency. I would lose AUO I'm just seeing if there is a possibility to make up the difference. I would also be taking a pay cut because they don't pay match anymore

              Isn't entry just security clearance?

              • For entry level CBP officer it is a Secret Clearance...... but if you have a clearance already with the DOD such as DONCAF DON DOA OR DISCO your process will be really quick. I am saying this from experience. I have a Top Secret SCI and I will be downgraded to secret once I get into CBP because there is no need for me to have a T/S SCI.

                • Why would you have SSBI then if you don't need top secret clearance?

                  • Hi Everybody in the process. Looking for any input on the process with regards to timelines. My background is to be forwarded to MHC on monday (according to my Background Investigator) and I have yet to get my Drug Test. I am just wondering what kind of wait time others have experienced. Like when and if I will get the call for a duty station. The positive thing is the BI said he is excited for me and my background looks good.

                    Here is my timeline:

///// Also, someone had asked about number of Background Investigators. I have one primary investigator, and there was another investigator that met a few of my references.

Hopefully I get into the Academy with you guys!

I currently have Secret and had Temporary Compartmentalized in the past. But Navym2 is right, your standard Customs Officers are only required to have Secret Clearence.

                      • Jade78 I have a TS/SCI because I am Intelligence Contractor for BAE. I was a Military Police officer or Master At Arms for 7 Years and I switched over to the Intelligence when I was in the active duty Navy and never looked back since. I am tired of dealing with Intel its a headache plus the war is dying down and I have been deployed too many times because I am a HUMINT Intelligence Analyst. I wanted to go back to my Law Enforcement roots. I just recently finished a deployment and I'm ready to get a federal job contracting is not the way.....it is too many uncurtains pertaining to job security unless you want to live in DC.....

                        • I took the VBT today. I didn't have a chance to study for it :/. Logical reasoning and grammar were no problem, but math was the death of me. I guess most people should know basic arithmetic, but I'm abnormally terrible without a calculator...blame the school systems lol. Hopefully 50% of my guesses were correct. Wish everyone else better luck!

You mean entrance exam? VBT comes awhile later in the hiring process and doesn't have any of what you stated. Lol
