  • CBP reminds me of a day care center. As an employee you will never be trusted and you are always being watched.

For those of you that like independent work or don't like having supervisors stand over your back, this isn't the agency to work for.

It's the truth. This agency hires people it doesn't trust, which baffles my mind. CBP tries to mitigate it by posting corrupt officers on Trust Betrayed and making 1000 VLCs on integrity...

                • Well with everything being slowed down greatly, I went ahead and just applied at the Police Department out here in El Paso. I'm sure this will be a lot quicker process. I hope all is well with you guys.

You will probably have a fulfilling career and you will get a desirable location that you want by going local. You will also be hired in a reasonable time frame. After a few years in uniform, you will be able to move up to investigations, narcotics, gangs, etc.

I just got scheduled last week for the end of the month. Looking forward to finally getting past this step! I've been waiting a couple of months too.

                              • Quick question regarding the PFT1.

Is there any advantage for scoring high in each section or is the bare minimum requirement ok?
