  • So there are around 30 questions per section on the exam, correct? Something has got to give, because it shouldn't take 5 hours to finish.

Luckily my case manager gave me a second chance knowing it was at their fault on mhC end for not updating my file. Now my head is turning thinking if I would have originally gotten my letter in Feb I could have be one of the lucky ones getting a call now. I only hope they accept my letter so I can continue on to this process... I'm definitely feeling blessed that I did not give up after I got the email that CPB withdrew my application. Good luck everyone!

For the ones who have done NOPAS what was the timeframe of when they responded back to yor letter?
That's great they gave you a second shot Twink and good move on pushing the matter. If you just gave up than you would have missed it. Sometimes you have to fight for it if you want it bad enough. Crossing my fingers for you. Unfortunately as you can see by my comments, 66ponys and Yodas there is no timeframe for a response. Just more of the waiting game.

As for SYS, I wouldn't worry too much. My husband wanted McAllen, TX and for the longest time no one was being offered McAllen. Turns out they schedule a certain number of each port they need to fill to each class they schedule. So while McAllen needed (for example) 50 agents they only scheduled lets say 5 McAllen officers per academy. So it may be a good thing that you are not seeing SYS right now. Could mean there will be more spots for you later when you get the call. Stay positive and I hope you get that call soon.

Oh and they gave me an EOD date of OCT 7th.
AMAC, Thanks for the vote of Confidence and I hope you're right. There are really four options for my family at this point, consisting of Tecate, SYS, Otay Cargo and Otay Passenger... I haven't heard of Otay Cargo being offered for years, mainly because no one wants to leave i guess.

What I meant to ask you was how long were you in the scheduling training unit before they called you? Also, how do you like McAllen?

I doubt anybody really knows the answer to that.

My guess, it'll end up being highly situationally dependent. A select group of failures will have an opportunity to reapply after a significant period of time has past. Other failures will essentially amount to life-time bans.

Well I was put in TSU on 4/22/13 and got the call 8/21/13. So 4 months, but they are calling in TSL order so it doesn't matter when you were put in TSU. The important thing is to know they are calling September 2012 TSL recipients. If I remember right you had a Sept 12 TSL right?

                          • Hello, everyone, just thought Id drop a line. Got my second call today with an offer of presidio tx only. Seeing as I'm employed by a local agency now and Presidio isnt remotely the area where Id want to move to, I declined. I'm enjoying the local gig for now but did apply to the new announcement for the west coast.

None of those options are great be any means, but from my prospective Calexico would be the best choice by far. Both Presidio and Eagle Pass are dumpy and remote.

Let us all know what your choice is or what you went with.
