Now if they are waiting for a few more people to get in TSU to start classes again somebody needs to get on the horn right now and tell MHC I'm ready and waiting. Call me any time, day or night, Monday through Sunday it doesn't matter and I won't be upset if you wake me either haha.
Lol thank you. But like I said its info coming form my mom so its second hand or even third hand so I can't really tell you how accurate it is. In the long run MHC make the final decision. I can only hope that it's true to the end. Why would they spread false information to there employees.

Unfortunate guys I can't say everything she tells me but the few things I can I say to you guys. As for the class size lol I'm talking one or two classes of max 38-48 people. I'm actual hoping for tree classes lol and as payniel said they kinda have the money but they are trying to deal with the problems that are existing first before they take on new recruit which means using some of that money for other things no related to hiring.
I personally have served 15 years. I am not a rank and file officer. What you have posted is not even close to accurate. Class size will not be much over 48. The last time the agency mass hired, training and backgrounds was a disaster. I don't think the agency will do that again. I-94's are becoming automated and paperless in the airport and seaport environments so you will not need more officers to process them. Furloughs are still being discussed and will probably still happen although their will be less days. The agency is still trying to figure out the funding for the agency and moving money from one account to another. That more than anything is what is holding things up.

I actually have done some research on the ports in AZ during the short time I've been waiting haha. I have the AZ ports in this order San Luis, Nogales, Douglas. Although I've had San Luis and Nogales bouncing between first and second a few times. Of course I would love Phoenix, but lets be realistic here thats not going to happen. I have a friend in CBP here in NY and he has told me Nogales can get nuts! You mind giving me any insights into the port?

he was right, Nogales can get nuts in a blink of an eye.. But the officers are great. Supervisors are great and the Port Director is for us the Best one. Here you work a lot, learn from the Best officers. If I was you i will take Nogales. So you can become one of us. :-)

Yet your repeating pretty much everything I said. Yes I know the government is going paperless (they have been doing this for years) and yes I know that the I-94 are being done online. To correct you I-94 are not only for Mexicans, its used for other things also.( i will double check to make sure I'm 100 percent right.) This would take more ppl to process the information. Just because its wireless does not mean its easier. And when it comes to the money like I said they have it and they are determining what to do with it. So how is it that I'm wrong with my info if u pretty much restated what I said but you was more elaborate with the info.

                      • Folks, I think we need to listen to the CBPOs who have been on the job or have recently graduated. It does not look good for a class in the near future. I say this not to offend people, but to set them up for the budget reality.

Shorttie, If your mother is a Supervisory CBP Tech she has access to CBPnet. She should look at the budget update posted on there that advises they are 600 million short. There is nothing worse than false hope that is not based on facts.

Take this to the bank. CPB will not hire new officers if they have to furlough the ones they have. My best advise is to not put all your eggs in one basket, keep working out and go about your life as if you never applied. If they make "The Call" this summer it will be a major suprise and a gift.

                        • Ill call her on Monday and confirm your info tripleD. Like I said and also seen mention on here nothing is set in stone when it comes to MHC but hey MHC may surprise us in the end. I'm just hoping to be around when that surprise comes.

So you guys know at no means am I trying to get ppl hope up. All I'm trying to do is relay some info. And don't worry if I hear bad news ill relay that also. Would like to keep you guys in the loop of things.
Yet again you know how moms are they only like giving good news and keep the bad news to themselves. So that why I want to double check on it.

The only place I will be running that fast is in my dreams! Lol I am not a fast person by any means. I run the mile and a half in high 10s to low 11s, but I'm still working to improve that. However, you never know, with the way things are going I may be training for a long time and can give your record a shot! Haha jk

                            • CBP has supervisory CBP Techs?

That's a new one to me.

All the Techs I've known were supervised by Mission Support Specialists.

                              • With all of this information circling around we must be mindful that there are not a lot of people who really know the outcome of all of this. Heck, the ones making the decisions might not even know the outcome to all of this. We just gotta live our lives and make the best out of it while we wait. Some one on this forum said that we've grown accustomed to waiting so this is nothing new (Sorry, I forgot who said it). Eventually they'll come calling, lol.

And on another note, my run time at my 1.5 mile run is about 12:15 and I think that'll suffice, lol
