I can relate to that, you got me beat by two years, but I've been answering those question for quite sometime as well. The looks I get when I tell them I'm still waiting are tough to take. They always look at me like I ran over a puppy and then trying to explain why I'm still waiting never comes out right either.

Im with you on that. Im already looking at the calendar and doing the what ifs. Strategising our move. One thing is for sure - I'll be ready when it comes. Good luck guys. Hopefully it's sooner then later.

I applied back in March of 2012, Got a 87 test score, and put in for southeast region. I'm now wanting to change to the FL region. Would that speed up the process. I have already been to FLETC with another agency so I'm hoping that with my 5 plus year background in Federal LE it would help.

It won't help k9james. I have 6 years as a federal law enforcement officer and it did nothing to help or hinder the process other than maybe getting gs7 or the vbt/si but those parts of the process are easy. The big hurdle is your background obviously. Our background with our current agencies have no bearing. On the plus side I would recommended that you save your leave up so you can have a few weeks to transition. Also we do not get admin leave when it's a transfer to another agency. I tried when I got the first call. Changing your port could help or hurt you. As everyone says - pick the region you want. You will be there for a bit.

I want to know about Tuition Reimbursement. Does CBP offer that? If so, what places on the SW Border do people aim for if they're interested in that possibility?

I'm a 22 year-old applicant... all I have left to do is send in my transcript once I graduate in a couple of weeks...
