If you're referring to my BI investigator, my BI is still pending....again. I say again because mine is an update. I have been previously completed and sent to scheduling two prior times, but stuff expiring has caused them to pull my app back out. I am kinda old school when it comes to the app process. Unless something comes up that is a problem which I need to address immediately, I wait to hear from MHC. Does calling occasionally help? Dunno. I have been hired by the Feds on three prior occasions and that's the way it was done. Since there was, what appeared to be, a positive result from my response I don't believe it necessitates contact at this point. BTW, had they proceeded with their action they were required by the CFR to notify within a set time frame. I never received anything advising that the actions had been taken.

Each applicant has their own way of doing what they feel my move their case along, and I respect that. This is how I elected to handle mine. Bear in mind, my application has some major differences than most due to it's age and how the process was conducted and assignments available when I submitted my app. It's changed a LOT over the past 5 years!!
I was actually referring to your adjudicator. My thought process is if you could contact them and it's been a while since you handed in the NOPA would you?

      I agree,
there is absolutely no sense to the madness. I know some people who moved through the process pretty quickly and others who have been waiting for some time.

Heh, I was about to move for another job and "bam!" I got the call.
Everyone posts their timelines and everything, but in the end, everyone's schedule and what not are so vastly different.

If this is still something you want, keep your head up, and be super patient. Honestly I was looking at other jobs and working. I kept the mindset that this isn't a for sure thing and if it pans out, it pans out.

The sequester and budget hooplah isn't helping the situation by any means. I know that several agencies haven't hired in years and they don't have the funds to hire new people and are stuck.

A good friend of mine applied for NPS, went through the stages, and she was told flat out that they didn't have the budget to hire. It seems like most agencies are still "stocking" the applicant pool.

To those that are still in the process, good luck and best wishes!

            • Quick question. I recently had a NOPA I responded to. I checked CASS today and it says that my BI is now complete. Does that mean that I've moved on from the NOPA and I'm in the clear?

No, I wouldn't contact them as I see no reason to. If they had proceeded with their recommendation they would have contacted me already (like I stated before, they're require to do so). Since the process moved forward I can safely assume my response satisfied them. I see nothing that would change by contacting the adjudicator.

You completed the forms when you completed that packet and faxed back with the application. I did 43 push ups, 12 side steps, 27 situps (was already sore from working my abs all week) and the lift test was done in 16 sec. I scored all 36 points in each section except the situps. All that matter, we well pass the minimum required.

Congrats on passing also. I did my test at JFK airport. But my region location if I had a choice would be Florida. I wouldn't mind Puerto Rico since I'm Spanish. Trying to avoid the Virgin Islands lol, but if they offer it to me I'm not going to say no.
