The vbt/interview is no sweet. Wear your suit and tie and be professional. That's about it. Good luck.

congrats on all the movement going on....
Well I have a question and I'm not sure many of you can answer it. I am stuck on the BI part of the process and I actually work in the same building as my local CBP IA. Now would any of you have any advice as to how I can approach them and be able to inquire about my BI/ Poly? I am almost sure that it will be done inside that office I just don't know how to go about this? or leave them alone and not bother...any advice helps. thank youCBPO

As a demographic, PA's tend to lean toward being male, more Caucasian/Hispanic, younger, less work experienced, less formally educated, and more physically fit. CBPO's tend to lean toward being more gender diverse, more racially diverse, older, more work experienced, more formally educated, and less physically fit.
A few years back I generally would have said that with most things more or less being equal, lean towards Border Patrol. I probably wouldn't say that today. Border Patrol is currently going through some serious issues. Much like OFO went through 2004-2008.
On top of that, BP is looking at some serious pay reform. Their "cash cow" has apparently died and their 'guaranteed' pay (AOU overtime, FLSA overtime) is likely on the chopping block. Much like as has already happened within OFO, the days of 'guaranteed' 100K BP jobs appears to be vanishing...at least for low-level GS-12's and under.

to ncls12:
I believe it is 48-50 cbpo on the class size.
somewhere I remember hearing information that they are having 2 new classes every month but I am not too sure on this part of info so don't hold me to it.Last edited by albert7; 02-28-2013, 02:34 PM.CBPO
