Anyone receive anything via registered mail lately? I had to work all day yesterday and into the late evening. Today my daughter handed me a receipt a postal delivery attempt notice from yesterday for something that was sent registered from CBP. I'm dying to know what it is and won't be able to check until tomorrow. Another Christmas present maybe?

As long as your other steps are complete, then it sounds like you will get the call soon. Am I assuming correctly that you passed your poly? If so then they will send you to fletc, but if something comes up in your history while they are completing your full BI then you will be booted. I'm not saying something will, just giving you a heads up. All in all this is very good news. Congrats!

Provisional clearance is definitely a good sign wouldnt be surprised if u get the call before New Years. I'm also pretty jealous. What is your time line and GEO?

Unfortunately it was indeed a NOPA. No, it didn't state I'd failed the poly! Instead they stated that "unsuitable" answers were provided during the interview portion of the background questioning. In other words, I was truthful but they didn't like the answer! They basically stated I wasn't a good candidate for a law enforcement position.

Of course the past 14 years I've spent as a law enforcement officer (including serving as a BP agent, DOD Police Officer and an Officer for the third largest police department in my state), MAY contradict that!

The BI was also an update as they'd already adjudicated my BI and it simply expired. I've taken 4 polygraphs prior to this one in the past 15 years, all for LE positions. The topic which they addressed was also addressed during everyone of my previous poly's. I was equally honest and forthcoming each time. I was offered a position each time and told it wasn't an issue. I'm certainly not trying to be sour grapes on this, but it is confusing. I'll be sending a letter to them for consideration. That's about all I can do. I am certainly NOT going to request withdrawl of my application. Especially after almost 5 years of waiting and having been referred for EOD on three occasions already!
