  • I have a question,

I sent an e-mail to my examiner about my poly and he told me via e-mail that if Quality Control don’t see anything that warranted further testing, they most likely they forward it my file along with the polygraph results up to Washington DC for adjudication and that I have to be patient and allow the Personnel Security Office time to adjudicate your file and decide what they want to do..

Can anybody tell me what adjudication means? what could be the scenario here?

    Thank you.

Hey Twink, mind pming the number to me as well? Ive emailed them and all I get is an automated response.

Adjudication in this judgement of your file. Its the HQ people reviewing and putting their stamp on your file basically. That stamp could be either for or against you, it all depends. It is a legal term which is why you might be concerned but all applications are adjudicated.

Yeah the poly is kinda effed up. You might want to mention to your polygraph operator that you could be willing to take an independent polygraph which might make then reconsider. I looked around after my poly, and found a few contractors offering them for $300. If you want the job bad enough, it could be something to think about. Also, my operator told me she had just recently come from QC and that to expect a decision anywhere between a month and 6 weeks after they fedex the sheets.

            Good Luck to us both....

That is a very good thing, I would expect that you get a call for a drug test before too long and then an firm offer shortly after.

                • Seems like ports being offered is starting to dry up, lol. The last several people who got offered a position got offered ports in TX at ports that are not that busy. I'm not trying to say anything or insuate anything but it's just an observation.

                  • Yeah, hiring was bound to slow down eventually, especially with still not having any budget deals in place. Also the Christmas time frame probably has a lot of the MHC staff not working. I still hope for CA port though....fingers crossed.

When I got the call last week there were not any Cal ports on the list, I am hoping next time they start calling there are a few more spots available.

Have you met with the background investigator yet? I am quite certain no job offer will be extended even if you have a prelminary clearance untl you have gone over your SF86 with the Background investigator. I forgot to ask that on my first response.

Nope no BI yet....that's why I was surprised I got the polygraphs as I haven't met with an investigator. I'm just glad that I don't have to do another poly. I passed both times and nothing to hide but the experience is stressful beyond words, lol. Btw, I looked at the ports on te cbp website and its a bit confusing because California is considered pacific? Also alot of cities in Texas that I didn't know we're included as swb ports like Dallas, Austin, Houston? Really need some clarification please
