Lots of people apply as both GS-05 and GS-07 and jump on the first offered, regardless what it is.

Still, even then grabbing a GS-07 might set them back...assuming they had to wait for GS-07 quals to be vetted.

    Edit:

In your case it appears you have both a GS-07 TSL and the GS-07 quals completed. If that's the case then you've cleared the "GS-07 hurdle".

Im guessing that this is the first portion of the paperwork Im gonna have to do...what do you think the chances of me not having to retake the ekg are? I mean 95bpm is still considered normal, close to the line, but still normal.

PS. The letter does say that unless contacted by chs, to not send anymore paperwork to them.
EKGs tests the electrical activity of the heart and It could be that the doc looked at an elevated HR and found an abnormality with the EKG. However, I'm not a doc nor did I look at your chart. 95 is pretty high for a resting rate. There has to be a letter you got that states exactly why you are on review. It may be addressed to a medical provider telling them what they found and what kind of documents they need.

I'm sure you would need another EKG, it's the basis of most diagnosis.

There should be a number on your paperwork for MHC Medical Review Unit. Those are the guy u wan to talk to.

        • I'm assuming you need to get your EKG evaluated. a hr of 95 in of itself is not the biggest concern. as stated it is a bit high for a resting heart rate but still considered within normal limits. the rhythm may be irregular or you might have some other abnormality that needs to be addressed. I think you are doing the right thing by contacting the Medical Review Unit, I had to do the same for a different issue, but I needed clarification before I proceeded with my primary medical provider to get the issue cleared up.

The thing is, I didn't specify which one i was applying for and was surprised when I was told I qualified as a 7 due to work experience in Human Resources/Supervisor/ and education combined. I just hope that this doesn't set me back...I know that others have been waiting longer than I but I most definitely feel everyone's anxiousness to get the call. Thank you for the info!

                • Just logged into my CASS for the first time in a few weeks and I have all Greens.
I was just waiting on my med upadate to be looked at by MHC and it must have cleared sometime this week.

For those interested I took the test the last week of July.

If I get the call, and I don't take the offer, would my process end there, do I have any other choice?
