On duty. the agent suffered a medical emergency while hiking in mountainous terrian to check on a sensor. The agent is assigned in Texas near Big Bend National Park. No further information is been released yet.

Last I read there wasn't anything overtly suspicious surrounding his death.

I have a question. I was at fletc and had to leave due to circumstance beyond my control. My port director didnt even offer me the opportunity to stay at the port in another capacity so I had to return home. When I got back to my home I found out that guys who left for medical reason were offered mission support specialist positions and a guy who failed out of FLETC was given a postion at his port. I reapplied back to CBP for CBPO and Import Specialist... do you think there is an opportunity that I might be hired back with my new packet or am I doomed to twiddle my thumbs.

Then again, you might have thrown yourself under the bus. Sometimes those hiring folks have short-fuses, long memories and kindle easily to the notion that there are no second chances, especially for those who leave for what they determine to be frivolous reasons.

Time will tell.

Hey guys. Just got my TSL1 on Thursday November 1st, 2012. I have a couple questions if you guys can help me out. They both pertain to the tentative selection. First, are you guaranteed to receive a TSL2 if you received a TSL1? Secondly, when should i expect the TSL2 to come? Thank you guys for your time.

I didn't really prep for the step test. But I'm a former runner so i run 1.5- 3 miles at least 3 times a week. It wasn't too bad but the days after I took the PFT 1 (10/1) my legs hurt like hell. It bothered my knees a bit though, but I've never had success in lifting my knees. I think as long as you're doing some type of cardio, you'll be fine. I did work up a little sweat doing it though; but I can lift a pencil and start sweating. I hope this helps

I know there is a few of you who are going to San Ysidro, or have already been and are at academy. can any of you share locations of where they offer affordable temporary housing? I've already done research, but I've only mostly found rooms for rent at somebody's house or apartment. I would prefer that to be my last choice, because I'm a little concerned about living with a freaking person for a month.

Tomorrow marks the one year mark that my Background was cleared from the last announcement. I already know I will have to do the medical recert, now am confused about background. Since it is still pending will I have to do recert or will whatever they do now count for it? Very strange, irksome and confusing this process is

Glad you are getting some green checks, but you will be pulling your hair out shortly because the poly and the BI is what takes a LONG time. I wouldnt quit your day job just yet...lol Good luck to you
