I was wondering if anyone knew how long it would take to hear a response to a letter for reconsideration? I admitted that I've smoked pot in my initial application, I figured if that would have disqualified me, that i wouldn't even be allowed to take the test. I scored a 91 on the test received my TO which stated I have X number of days to submit paper work explaining the situation.
Does the CBP have a zero tolerance policy? I've smoked less than 6 times and last time was 2 years ago and it was only 1 time. I'm more concerned with wasting my time on the polygraph and filling out all the e-quip forms for no reason than I am about being disqualified at this point because I have it in my head that I already am.
thanks in advanced for any info!

Between the lack of budget and the fiscal cliff that is quickly approaching, along with the 1200 people that are in line for the poly, it may take some time. I'm in the same boat as the rest of you. Best thing you can do is continue to work out and see what happens in the next two months.

Same here, I could get out of the Army in November as planned, take the DPS (Texas State Trooper) test, poly etc and be in the first academy class that starts the New Year. Im trying to be really patient but at the same time, I'm not putting all my eggs in one basket (CBP). There is a lot of Government (non- weapon carrying) positions that I have interest in, but I do not want to start a career once I get out of the Army because I need a job, I would rather I do something that matters and something I really want to do (CBP) but its like they expect you to wait around forever!Test -02 April 2012
