I chose my Geo SWB because I live in South Texas in McAllen. I am about ten miles from like three bridges so I hoping they offer me those if not I will just take what they offer me. This is my timeline so far:

App Date: June 25, 2012
Test: June 29, 2012
Nor: July 5, 2012 (94) with 10 vet pionts
TSL 1: July 20, 2012
TSL 2: July 23, 2012
E-QIP submitted: July 30, 2012
E-Qip correction: August 5, 2012
BI: sent to security office August 10, 2012
Pre-Employment forms: passed August 21, 2012
Medical/ PFT1: have it on Monday
VBT/SI:
Drug Test:
Qualifications: Passed August 21, 2012 GS-7

I also had to sign the "Provisional Clear" form. Is this standard? Is it normal and every applicant has to turn it in? Or is it only for people that are going to get interim clearance?

Did you take your poly or was that form part of your tsl1&2? I dont remember signing that form when I did my tsl1& 2. Could be bc at the time I did my tsl1&2 the poly was still random.

Just got a call for a poly in about two weeks!!! Excited to move along, anyone have any suggestions? I have a pretty boring background but I have been nervous for all these tests! Lol

For privacy reasons, don't mention the city you live in, but could you tell me your state? I'm in Cali, and female. I missed a call from an unknown number about a month ago. I'm hoping it wasn't my poly call! They didn't leave a message.

Does anyone know how many CBP Officers are in a class and how many classes take place each year?

Usually, it's 48 trainees in a class. Sometimes it's 24 trainees. Rarely, it's a number that's not 48 or 24.

The number of classes vary according to need. I've seen upwards of 70 classes some years and less than 10 classes other years. This year, as I recall, there were/are 29 classes scheduled...or roughly 1400 people hired.

Next year's hiring schedule? That I don't know. It might be released sometime around October. Or not.

Hey, like I have mentioned before, be aware of the speed and pace of the second part of the PFT1: step test. I have posted an audio earlier which I think it is not a bad idea to check it out. You should try to follow the step test part of the audio at least once to get an idea!! The audio test file is for border patrol agent but the step test is identical. and good luck!!!

The call was from a Texas number (I live in Texas) an it was a special agent. I'm pretty sure you didn't miss a call because they are really good about leaving voice messages and emails of they miss you

I didn't even get a call for my poly, they just emailed me. And they also found my work email which I never submitted and emailed that too lol.

I haven't taken the poly. No the form wasn't part of my TSL1/TSL2 packets. They actually sent me an email about 5 weeks after I turned in the EQUIP and pre-employment packets stated that I needed to make a correction to section 17 of the Equip and that they needed me to resubmit my pre-employment forms and within that email, they attached the Provisional Clearance form.

I got excited when i saw that email, only to be dissapointed. I dont speak any of those either Shark. Now if we are talking Spanish, eso es un otra cosa. I was hoping when I originally applied my moderate Spanish speaking ability may give me an edge with SWB. Oh was I ever wrong.
