Thanks for your input. I'm interested in download the audio file to practice my steps a bit more but can't seem to locate it on the CBP website. Do you have an idea of where it's located? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
    Here is the link: http://nemo.cbp.gov/obp/narrated.mp3

Its the test audio file for Border Patrol Agent, but they are similar, especial for the second part: step test. Just use the last part of this audio file to exercise the step test, I used to exercise with this audio file every other day until my fitness test. I would say if you can follow the speed of this audio file on the step test, you should do fine on the fitness test. Cause I know quite a few people failed the PFT1 because they did not have an idea of the speed of the step test prior to their fitness test. Hope this will help you, more or less!!

No, Sir! Matter of fact, I did bring spare copy of my resumes just in case to my VBT/SI. After I finished my VBT, the SI interviewers (which were 2 CBP supervisors) asked me to put my resume away and they did not need it. I would say bring a spare copy of your resume just in case? In my case, I have applied for GS-5, which is mainly relying on the educational background. Beside the educational information, i do not think they can get too much info. from my resume since my work experience is limited.

              • Hi everyone.
I was reading and see everyone's timeline. I took the exam on 3/26/12 for West Coast, and got NOR on 4/3/12 with score of 97 without vet points. I am waiting for my TSL at the moment. I am hoping to get in around Los Angeles or Long Beach area, but I know this is not going to be depends on me. It is a bit confusing that exactly how far SWB reaches before West Coast. If SWB reaches Los Angeles area, I’d like to switch my geographic region to SWB. What do you guys think?

                • I'm a female too and just started in the process. Since I see more females here, I'd like to ask for some help/advice. How do you get to do the 20 correct form push-ups? I'm OK with all other tests, but with push-up... It's just so hard for me ( I heard it's hard for females in general?). I started to practice with the 100pushup program a few weeks ago but now I'm still at the preliminary stage (with knees on the floor). Can any female friends please share some good advice on practicing pushups and get quick improvements? Advices from male are also appreciated. I anticipate to have my PFT1 within a month. I'm getting nervous about it.

Hey, check this link out: http://www.cbp.gov/linkhandler/cgov/...o_duty_loc.pdf

it contains all duty locations, pin point each location from WC and SWB on the Google map, and find out if there are locations overlap with each other, and good luck.

I took the test in SD in july 2011. I received my NOR in aug 2011 I took PFT1 in Dec 2011. The VBT was in January. I had vision correction in March so I had to wait until June for my medical to clear. I Took the polygraph twice/ once in MAy thay then again in June. I met with the background Investigator on Aug 5
I received "the call" on August 7 i believe. I took PFT2 on August 15. Received the final offer August 16 ....you are moving along way faster than I did..congrats
So you got the call two days after meeting your BI? Do you remember if your CASS had all green checks or did you get the call without expecting it?

Glad to see more female applicants! I used to not even be able to do one proper push-up so I started looking into weight lifting. The best advice I can give is buy Chalene Extreme and work out for the half hour a day in your home. It includes a nutrition guide etc. I only followed it 2/3 way through and when I took my PFT1 I did 40 push-ups and passed with flying colors. (5'2 and 110)

                            • I think the hardest part is waiting. Blew through the medical and PFT1. Now just waiting to hear something or get my first green check.
