I see, thanks. I know it was not directly related to m VBT/SI, but I was just assuming that perhaps I passed last Wednesday, and that's why they "happened" to send out the letter for my GS-7 qualification within days from my VBT/SI.

This is posted on the anouncement ,that is why i asked

From what I have heard from new applicants is that females are being streamlined through the process. I have seen two female applicants move along much quicker than male applicants with similar scores. One of the female applicants had her background started before clearing medical and the VBT/SI. The other got an offer only a few months after testing. I don't know what their scores were. My limited knowledge comes from what I have been told by two female applicants. Take it for what it is, limited information.

Now I took the BP exam on 11/11 and passed with an 81 got the NORS a week later after the exam, my friend took the exam as well a week later after mine. So far he has received TSL for BP, he did not apply for CBPO. I'm just want to know if BP has not send me anything because I'm currently going thru the process with CBPO? I haven't heard from BP at all. Can anyone help me understand if they work together or independently from each other when it comes to hiring? I really appreciate your comments!

                • I cannot speak as to the percentage of CBPO applicants who are female. The percentage of current CBP Officers who are female is roughly 18-19 percent.

As far as Title 5 waivers go, I tend to think that they are rare and targeted at extreme circumstances. Then again, who would know? I doubt that anyone hired is told he/she is Title 5 waiver hire and I cannot off-hand think of an easy way where an employee would access that info.

Tentative selections for each are completely separate and would not interfere with the other. Most likely, your friend scored higher than you on the BPA exam.

Sorry, by one has nothing to do with the other. I can see why you would think that though, being it came right after. My qual's were the last thing to clear. Their is no method to there madness lol. Dont worry though you will get notice about the VBT/SI soon. I kno thr waiting can be brutal sometimes. Just check out my timeline haha.

Yeah as others have said it's a coincidence. My qualification letter just came in and I'm doing my VBT/SI next week, so I was qualified for GS-7 before the VBT. It's completely separate, as some people get the letter before their VBT, and some after.

Also on the letter it also mentioned that I qualified from GS-7, do people get this letter after VBT/SI? Or is this just a coincidence? Want to know if this actually means I passed my VBT/SI. Thanks.
