Hey all, I did my best to try and read through the backlog, but hopefully some of the more recent posters will have some input.

I submitted all my pre-employment forms the first week of April, took (and passed) my oral board last Friday (May 25), and passed my medical and PFT1 today (May 29)

Is this a pretty solid pace for advancement? My CASS is a bit sketchy, is any of this worth calling MHC and inquiring about?

Pre-Employment Forms	pending	One or more of your forms may have not been received. You will be contacted if additional documentation is required.
Qualifications	pending	A review of your work experience and/or education is still pending.
Medical Exam	pending	You will be contacted to schedule your medical examination.
Structured Interview	pending	Your interview has been scheduled.
Drug Screening	pending	Your drug test is pending at this time.
Background Investigation	pending	We have not received the background investigation documentation which is required to begin your investigation.
Fitness	pending	A ftiness test appointment is scheduled for you.

Anyone know what time on Tuesday's/Thursday's CASS gets updated? I recieved my TSL Friday and Im unable to login. I figured I'd ask here first before I pester MHC

My TSL came on a Tuesday and I'm pretty sure I could access it that day. However for you guys it came on a Friday with Monday being a holiday... you may have to wait. There is three or more of you in the same boat so I wouldn't worry to much.

That looks to be a quick pace. Your signature is throwing me off. It says April(04) instead of May(05).

I had the same pre-employment form response in CASS. I called and they need one more letter signed. They said it wasn't stalling the process though.

Good call, Pre-Employment papers were early APRIL. SI/PFT were May. Dunno how I misread that. Correcting it now.

I saw that many of the 1811 positions have this retirement:

Retirement Coverage 12(d): Criminal Investigators are covered under the provisions of both the Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS) 6 (c) or the Federal Employees Retirement System and 5 U.S.C. § 8412(d).


Is the CBPO position the same retirement? For example, if you start with CBP does that time count if you were to go to an 1811 position?

I didn't see in the announcement if the retirement was 12(D) or 6(c)?

Yes.

Well, a qualified yes. It depends on circumstance and interpretation. Some agencies get hung up on the supposed differences between 'LEO' coverage and those positions specifically granted 6C/12D coverage as a class.
My opinion is that 6c/12D coverage is 6C/12D coverage...for what that's worth.

Has anyone experienced this, MHC used my medical from Border Patrol for my CBPO application and cleared me again. However, I didnt take the PFT1 one yet, I emailed MHC and they said once I'm close to clearing background I will be called. Does this mean Ill have to take both PFT1 and PFT2 close together?

i emailed the address that came with the TSL, they said not to worry and just contact if i had any changes. The CASS still does not have me in the system as of this morning. My guess just wait until tomorrow/friday. Glad some others had same issue

I am still waiting too. I had not done the drug test yet and my background has not cleared. I guess we have to wait a little bit longer.

How long have you been wiaitng ofr a final decision?

I faxed it and mailed it in, and called IA to make sure they got it, and they said they've received it on the 17th of May, so about 2 weeks now
