Keep your pref for the north east and the wait could be 2-5 years, or they may never give you a TO at all.

My only advice is to try and not predict everything (or anything) with this process. Just do what is right for you at this time in your life.
thanks for the advice, yea, I am young (24 will be 25 in a few months) no wife or kids and I am really looking forward to getting in and seeing what I can do.

            • Hey dghai60, I do recall seeing that episode but I don't think it was in the SW. I'm pretty sure it was in puerto Rico and those were Ice agents not cbpo.

so for those of you who used to watch border wars( till they stopped totally recording i assume), there used to be an episode where there were these cbpos or ice agents?(can't remember which one) went into a mans house and seized all his computers and began searching through the hard drives to apprehend the man for child pornography. i was wondering , are there any positions in cbp for computer forensics/digital forensics? considering on getting my certification in digital forensics(eventually my masters) after my bachelors and i just remembered that episode. i believe it was somewhere SW, not really sure, but i do remember seeing it on border wars. If cbp will make me wait, might as well keep myself busy trying to make myself marketable against people way more qualified than me
I think i remember that episode, they are ICE agents and that location was not SWB but Puerto Rico.

Well working towards your Masters Degree will be a plus, but bare in mind that you have to score above in the 90's to get call rather than just having the degree. Because someone with only a Bachelor's can score 95 and get call before you.

                              • New to the forum, and thankful for all the information I've found by "lurking" for a few days. I still have a few questions and can't wait for the feedback you all seem capable of giving. When I initially applied in March of this year I selected NE as my geo but I live in Texas and now realize SWB is my best bet anyhow. I tested 4/27 and I have not received my NOR yet. I noticed several people have changed their geo very early on in the process, and I'm wondering; how can I do that at this stage?
