      • Yeah I second that motion of calling. I'm hoping I get my TSL sometime this next month.

Going back and looking at timeline's it looks like it varies person to person (obviously). I've seen 5 months to infinity. lol.

very extensive. they went to all my employers i listed and i think they asked if they would hire me again...they even wanted a neighbor in my apartment complex although i was only here for five months and didnt speak to anyone. it forced me to get to know people..they called people on the phone and they pryed or try to pry information out of them. if you are a good person overall, you have nothing to worry about..only reason i am aware of this is because my BI forgot some info from me and he had to meet me at home to get it after he already completed most of my info and i asked him how it went...funny thing is, he told me my old boos wanted me back...funny how they act like they don't need you when you're gone.

          • I tested back in August 2011. I got the call last week. I got offered several locations in cali,az,new mex, and Texas. I chose Roma, texas. I read back that a couple ppl had accepted Roma as well. My eod date is scheduled to be 5/29/12. I live about an hour away from the port so I decided to drive there and talk to the officers' already working there. I was informed that over time is almost non existent. Although the port is a 24 hr , they said that overtime is seasonal, around the time they end the fiscal year.

Anyone else have some more light on this port? I hope the guys that had eod dates of last week chime in.

                • I spoke to a CBPO at JFK Airport today. He said that Customs and Border are under staffed with officers by 250. I don't know how true that is but I'm assuming he's telling the truth.

I'm pretty sure its one year. I've had the BI (and everything else) done late 2011 and was given an EOD of Nogales, AZ Dec 2011 but tunrned it down for something else that came my way at the axact time. SO I am HOPING to get back and reclaim CBPO spot once again, this time Im all in... Just hoping they'll realize that all my tests are valid with passing scores. I applieed for the first 2012 announcement and submitted all my doc about a month ago. i used my Dec 2010 score. Now Just waiting like everyone else. eh we'll see

I also took the BP exam on Nov 11 and got the Nors letter about a week later I got an 80, Now my question is will BP back off knowing I'm going thru the CBPO processes?? I'm asking because I haven't heard from them and I don't know if is possible if you that you can be doing the hiring process with both agencies at the same time?? I really appreciate your responses thank you!
Dont worry about the BP they are not in any hurry to hire that many people. and with an 80 is going to be a wait. So keep down the path with CBPO... good luck

                            • Hello all,

I am new to the board and would like to give my congrats to all that are in the hiring process right now. I myself am in the process and have heard back from CBP that my VBT is next week. Can anyone help me out by what type of questions they may ask or how to possibly prepare for such an interview. I would greatly appreciate it. My location is set for swb an received a letter as soon as I switched over to that location. My score was an 89. Thanks again in advance and good luck to you guys and gals.

Since I already had an eQuip filled out with OPM I have already finished and submitted it. Seems like things are starting to pick up. Maybe it's because I opted to change my GEO to SWB. Well congratulations everyone. It seems to me, that the smartest thing to do is to go ahead and take one for the team and head to the SWB. I am a Miami gal who is currently living in NYC and the SWB is no joke (Stationed at Ft Bliss for 6 years!) But it can be all right... Get your foot in the door, rack up as much experience as one can and fortify that resume and FED LEO standing. I am excited for all of us
