Starting 2013 CBP will have every applicant take a poly. Before then its the luck of the draw.

They will send you to the closest medical facility, mine was about 30 miles away. When it comes to the pft2 you will given a few choices when you receive your tsl. I chose Vermont and I live in NY. It was either vermont or South Carolina I think. It all depends on your location and what they have available. On a side note my drug test was about an hour drive. Apparently when they scheduled me the computers weren't working right so she gave me what she could see.

It is a timed exam. I don't remember how much time you get each section though. Yes you do get breaks. Not sure about the questions maybe somebody else can chime in on that.

I remember it being around 30ish each section minus the cbp experience record which I want to say was around 60. Yes it does take that long, but you get an abundance of time for each section. If you finish early you can take a break, plus they give you 5 minutes in between each section. Good luck.

Just curious, but what happens to the people who dont pass the first PT test? Is it like the military where they get put in a special class to get them in shape or do they get the boot? What about if you get injured at FLETC?

                              1. Bureau of Prisons are some large out of shape people. Typically partiers that are downright reckless on the weekends. Bottom of the totem pole and they embrace it LOL

BOP maybe over weight but they make more money then you do and have 20year LEO retirement......

Not exactly. The hiring process changed in 2009 or 2010. Everyone is now subject to one, according to the FBI agent that administered mine.
