Don't confuse 'can' with 'will' or 'probably will', especially within this agency.

I can be a millionaire this weekend by investing Wednesday in a 1$ lotto ticket. Anybody here really think I will be?

Can somebody easily transfer within a couple of years to the port of their choosing...yeah, if they happen on the most fortuitous of circumstances. Some people probably move within weeks. A very select few.

Most people...most people won't find themselves in a situation where there is much of an opportunity to move within several years, at least not if the recent past is an indication. Hopefully the new relocation policy makes it easier for everyone to get to the port of their desire. Time will tell.

Quick question....to make my story short and to the point, I tested Dec 2010, Completed my process Aug/Sep 2011, received an EOD date of Dec 2011, and after declining a great oportunity for a State job 10 min from home, I am back in the process of going to the SWB with this new announcement....It's was I was meant to do in the first place!! Anyhow, I e-mailed MHC and they stated that my results are good for one year. Will my application be "expedited" if they get to me before the one year is up? Just really curious....

chock it up to a "dire need for female CBP Officers". I mean if she was doing everything else well, she could work on the push ups some more and be fine.

Well the situps were part of a struggle but the push=ups were very questionable to the point where the proctors were kind of trying to figure out what to do. The one other female that was going for BPA she banged out 20. Was just glad I shaved a minute off my 1.5 mile time lol.

Congrats you guys! My PFT2 is coming up this Friday the 23rd....I'm stoked and nervous at the same time....

thanks. i'm not alone. what geo location did you pick? when did you take the written?

I chose SWB as geo and I tested in August of 2011. Have you met with your BI yet?

Get used to it. Since getting on board back in december I've filled out emergency contact list a handful of times, same contact info and forms for insurance/benefits/etc like you wouldn't believe.

I would have to agree with this statement, personally, I'd stick with the SWB.

Well I will stick with the South West Border if I don't get a TSL for NYC, because once you received a Tentative Selection Letter you can't change your geographic location. But you can use your test score for different locations. If I get offer a position then i can decline or take it, or wait for a TSL for JFK, Comprendes amigo?

announcement and are re-selected for a different geographic region, your most recent selection
will override any previous offer. If you decline an offer, you will have to wait until the next open
period to reapply"
