I wouldn't worry too much 11,000 worth of debt is not bad. At least it will help you build your credit. I'm sure a lot of individuals have mortgages and more debt than that. Just make sure your are slowly paying it down/back and don't default on any of them. Overall in my opinion it's nothing significant enough to disqualify you.

Thanks for the opinion. I hope you are right!

I too received the email several weeks ago. I was previously in a "referred to hiring" status, but that went away sometime back (when they took everyone off of it). I went to med pending so my med could be updated due to expiring. That turned into med "problems" which I've had to address over the past month. I still have my med pending on CASS, but like I said, I received the email. Point is, I don't think being in a PFT2 "pool" had anything to do with it. If I'm wrong though, I'd be thrilled!!

I haven't paid one cent yet for my college loan. And it's unsubsidized

When I had a student loan they allowed you to pay the loan down while you were in school which was nice. So I would kick one to two hundred to it every paycheck I got. It helped in the long run. I guess the question should be are you still in school or did you already graduate?

I got one more semester to graduate with my BS in Criminal Justice. Unfortunately I do not make enough money to pay it off right now. I can barely afford food, much less 100 - 200 dollars extra costs per month :/

Hmmm is the unsubsidized loan the one that accrues interest the minute you take the loan? If thats the case that sucks... I had the one where it doesn't start to accrue interest till you graduate. I graduated before my class by 2 quarters and was paying the loan down since my sophomore year when I had a job on campus working as a lab technician. In your case just focus on finishing up then start dropping some money and pay it down whenever you have the chase. Yes the good old college life where you can only afford ramen. At least there is light at the end of the tunnel for you.

                        • quick question on the PFT1, unfortunately they scheduled it on my birthday (damn!…oh well). just wanted to recap what will be on there because i did look at the cbpo fitness pdf and they give a whole bunch of stuff on there. just want to clarify, its pushups,sit-ups,steps,and lift and reach? or is the sidestep in there somewhere?

i know, i should know better and look through pages, i did and it says on one of the pages that i think one of the parts mentioned above is not tested anymore? thats why i wanted to ask.

                          thanks!

It's push ups, sit ups, side step, crate lift, and the marching. There is no stretch. I believe someone on here did a stretch but I don't recall who did it exactly.

lol i never said anything on stretch, i said lift and reach which is basically your crate, and does the whole minimum 80% or 80 points for pushups,sit-ups, sidestep, crate lift still apply before the march to pass?
