Yeah, same here. I tested in July and it requested to know if I was down with the SW region. Nothing to do with specific POE's. Hoping that eventually, there will be some kind of picks or options. But regardless, my mindset is that I'll take anything they offer. I can do two years standing on my head. I'll be able to rotate eventually.

Last week I got THE call

Took my PFT2 on friday and passed
My EOD was scheduled for 9/26 for SYS
          and Flect 10/14

But a few minutes ago I got another call saying that my Background has gone into 'pending' again, and due to this my EOD has to be cancelled indefinitely

Has this happened to anyone here? Or maybe one of you knows someone with my situation

What can I expect? How long might this take?

          Thank you
Can you please post your timeline? Also, I have heard that the BI/SF-86 is only valid for 6 months and then has to be re-done. Could be the reason why. Let us know.

You will be working with some good people. They have 4 bridges down there (Gateway, B&M, Veterans, and Los Indios) Veterans and Los Indios are very good, but Los Indios is for veteran officers who have paid their dues. Gateway and B&M have boats loads of pedestrian traffic. Gateway is the only one open 24/7 rest close at 10pm.

                Congrats bud!

I lived in SD a year ago and got my fingerprints done at a livescan place when I had them done to work for the county. It's pretty much the same thing except it gets printed out on the paper MHS provides you. So google livescan in our area and call them up and ask if they are capable of printing them out.

The GL pay scale ends at GL-10. Everyone above GL-10 is on the GS pay scale, CBPOs and BPAs alike. Both PAs and CBPO currently journeyman out at GS-12.

AUO is essentially straight time OT. The main benefit is it's largely guaranteed. 25% for an average of 10 extra hours per week, give or take. COPRA is double time overtime for anything over an eight hour day or 40 hour week. That's assuming a person hasn't agreed to an AWS. The main drawback to COPRA OT is that there's no guarantee. You might see 40 hour weeks or 60+ hour weeks...it all depends on the particulars of the needs of the port.
For the 10 extra hours per week as a PA we are paid 33% extra of our base pay.
                      25% AUO+8% FLSA

I ended up just going to the BP station in Imperil Beach. The admin staff and the agents were all super nice to me. You should just call them in advance to make sure it's ok. They told me between 2-4 is the best time to go. This way the fingerprinting was FREE!
