Hey guys,
I got the BI completed check on CASS.

I've got the Drug Examination still pending though, does anyone know when it should be completed?

---EDIT: Nevermind, just got called to schedule the drug examination.

It should only take about 2 weeks.

I'm tired of selling copiers!!! Hahaha. I took my test back in Dec. 2010, received my NOR Jan. 2011 for the area of Louisiana... Has anyone heard about any TO's going out for this location yet??

They made the change recently from FOOBT to CBPOBT... as always the constant evolution.

Just when I thought I knew it all, lol! Would you guys mind explaining to me what FOOBT and CBPOBT are?

I dont know about that bpa academy is 55 days and you have to learn nationality law immigration law and applied Authority plus march everywhere we go singing cadence with a guide on its a paramilitary organization. CBPOS dont do that ive been to glynco in 2006 to the bureau of prisons academy and i see what they do they ride bikes everywhere. The pt is very intense to the point people cant hang and quit. it is the instructors job to make you quit everyday during 2 hour block of PT. just to give you some numbers we started with 50 graduated 36 and thats about the norm. also i think well i now BPA can work at POE because we are cross designated we have customs authority thats why you see us working at POE also. If im not mistaken the CBPO academy will be the same as the border patrol no more bikes i dont know about the PT I hope they make it hard and shorten the academy it is way to long.

Well...it's not 2006 anymore. If it was, Border Patrol would be running a 91 day academy, instead of the stripped-down 55 day current one.
The current CBPO academy is 89 training days. Most of the immigration, nationality, applied authority a PA learns will be covered, along with much more customs, agriculture, F&W, and a bunch of other 'customs' stuff a PA typically won't do. I believe the current new hires march in cadence as well.

You'll find CBPOs working BP checkpoints as well. That doesn't mean that either job is all that fungible between them, except for in limited niches.

It's the new basic training course that replaced the old basic training course that, with many modifications, ran from 2003 until roughly 2009-2010.

To be honest I don't think you can just changed your GEO preference without MHC emailing you asking you to.

Hey, thx for the response guys and giving me the number, I did get to call and got the voicemail, I left them a message i'll keep trying. I did receive an email in regards to the new process they are doing with everyone's geographic location and how they will change it based on regions. well lets see how it goes then...btw, im currently in tsa in ny and LOTS of people are getting called for SW and Georgia...I just personally don't want to go down there :/

I was on the delphi forum and a 2010 tester just posted that she got the call on 7/29/11 for southwest border. She advised that she has been in process for bp so that information might have helped her speed up the process. Anyway just wanted to shed some light for the 2010 testers

Thats true I looked at the Delphi Forums and have seen more than one 2010 tester get the call, and there timeline was less than a year. In 2007 my timeline was only 7 months, unfortunately I regret not have taken the job back then. Gives hope to the people that just applied the timeline may not be that long.

I had my BI yesterday and he told me that its too expensive for them to do more than one background on everyone. So am guessing no but then again I maybe wrong

There not doing more than one background, it is the same one but different contracted background investigators, which conduct the investigation.
