I AM SO FRUSTRATED AT MYSELF RIGHT NOW!! I was reporting to FLETC on August 16 but I went to take my PFT2 test today and my blood pressure was off by 4 numbers. They told me it was very common and I had to bring a form to get filled out by a doctor with a 3 day blood pressure reading. The funny thing is that my bood pressure is usually low or normal... never high!! He said it was because I was nervous!! I went to the doctor today and it was 99/69. So I'm waiting for the medical unit to call me back. The guy who was there today said it takes about 2 weeks to retest and my dates will get pushed back so it looks like I will not be in your class after all!! BTW... did you have Border Patrol giving your fitness test with a video camera??

First,
I had the same issue with blood pressure from being excited, my blood pressure went down after a few reads and I was able to complete my PFT-2. I was very excited and I couldn't sleep the night before.

2. I had a CBPO give me the test and there was a video camera to record it all. Well Aug 16th is 2.5 weeks away maybe they will work out a pft2 before then good luck. And if anything I'll see you around.

Nobody has 6C retirement...well, not unless they were hired pre-1984.

The average CBPO has 12D enhanced CBPO retirement. Which, if you were hired before 07/08, is actually more beneficial than standard 12D 'LEO' retirement. Otherwise, CBPO enhanced 12D retirement is exactly equivilent to the standard 'LEO' 12D retirement.

the only thing that they did for me is pull my credit, my job or friends have not been contacted which is weird. she called me restricted on my cell phone and the lady said she is coming on 8/8 to 8/12 to do my poly from washington d.c.. she never said anything about background which is also weird......so that is all the info i have so far.

My background just went from pending in the CASS system to completed without me even receiving a phone call to meet the investigator. Can anyone explain how that's possible?

Depending how long you been in the process... This happened to me too.. They prob updated or just going over some stuff in your file.. Mine totally expired last month .. and i ahve to start the whole process all overe again..

Well I've been in the process sense July 2008. This is actually my 2nd background. I just thought the process would have been the same like the first one.

Basically, they take custody of all the money, property and drugs CBP seizes. They carry firearms much like bank guards carry firearms.
It's not subject to a maximum hiring age.

Not a bad gig. Less money overall than the average CBPO makes but much better 'bankers' hours.

It is a 'foot in the door'.

Plus, being more or less an 'admin'. position, they get to cozy up to mid/upper-level management much more than average CBPOs do.
