Well...
My class has only 2 going to the SWB, everyone else is scattered around the country... LA/Long Beach, East Texas, NWB & NEB, and Miami. The timelines for all are from 3-4 years in waiting, I'd have to confirm the timeline for the 2 going to the SWB.CBPO

You could be waiting 5 years for some ports! they are not going to hire you over the age just because you had a TO, especially with the thousands of people in the pipeline that are still under 37. From my experience you can call MHC everyday with the same question and get a different answer, or just get blown off. Don't risk it and put in for a backup job ASAP

So....
I have my first meeting with my BI tomorrow morning at my college and I was going to wear a business suit. My father (30 years retired with major LE agency in my state) told me that I was going a little overboard. I told him times were changing but he remained firm on his position.
Now I am doubting my decision in wearing a suit. Any thoughts?

Your not going overboard. A conservative suit is perfect. I just met with another BI today and wore kakis and a striped button down shirt no tie and it was fine. But I have been through multiple BI interviews already and I knew it would be fine, plus it's hot as crap over here right now. I would have been dying in my one black suit.CBPO

I met with the investigator yesterday at my job, it was a really good experience, I was with her for about 5 hours. All my references from my current employment were there and available to be interviewed; I've already received phone calls from a ton of people who I used as references (personal and professional) and they all have received a phone call from the investigator and have scheduled a time and place to meet with her. I feel like she's really on it, there is a possibility that she may complete everything on her side by the end of this week or early next week. Another thing I would like to mention, the investigator looked at the date I submitted all my information and she said it's unusual that someone would start the investigation process within a month of submitting all the pre-employment forms. I told her that I was surprised also because it was just last week that I did the medical and fitness.YOU'VE GOT THE MAGIC EYE, HOYT!!!
