  • The logical reading is hard especially if you haven't had experience with those problems. Luckily I had those problems hammered in my head when I took the LSATS. The questsions were so similar.

The study guide they gave you when you signed up for the test was good. So make sure to study for that folks

      • yea .. i should have bubbled everything i can. but how does the grading work? i heard they grade you based on section from one of the Agg specialists with us taking the exam. He was saying basically once you fail one section, you fail it all.

oh well, no point getting mad on mistakes now.. if i did as bad as i thought, ill be back to take it again. i'm probably one of the youngest here, so i know CBP can wait for me.

i will definitely work on timing in the meantime.

              • is your total score basically composed of adding the # correct in all 3 sections? or do they do like a total correct/total questions in exam?

Thank You so much for the encouraging words. That step test was by far no joke. Unfortunately I was unable to finish my time was 3min 45sec my right leg caught a muscle spasm in the worst way. Dr's had to be called in; I was dizzy & in serious pain after the test they made me go to a room and elevate my legs for 1hr. I'm sad cause if you don't pass that part then you're no longer considered for the position
You will get it next time, Ice! Why don't you do what the guy did in a previous post...wait until you get the fail letter then re-apply under the current vacancy announcement (granted your previous exam is still valid;open until August 20something).

They merged my aug2 class with another class that starts aug 16th apparently. That's what I've heard so far from my boss.

The one thing you cannot do is apply again on a new announcement once you have turned 37. Hang in there "old" dude!!
I am pretty sure it depends what it says on the announcement. Older announcements that came right around when CBPOs got 6c coverage they were letting people come in after 37 if they had TOs. On the newer announcements this will not be the case. You could be waiting 5 years for some ports! they are not going to hire you over the age just because you had a TO, especially with the thousands of people in the pipeline that are still under 37. From my experience you can call MHC everyday with the same question and get a different answer, or just get blown off. Don't risk it and put in for a backup job ASAP
