    • Background Investigator

Does anyone know if the polygraph examiner is the exact same person that will be conducting your background investigation?

I doubt it. I would assume it would be at another facility with people that have a copy of your BI file and will ask you certain questions based on what you answered on that. Again just only my opinion.

I don't think so. I recent did my 2nd Background and I asked him about the poly and he wasn't sure if all new applicant will have a poly or if its mandatory starting next year. So I think it would be safe to assume he will not be the one doing the poly. But no one is sure who in fact gets a poly.

The polygraph is conducted by a separate examiner, usually federal agents from DEA/FBI... since they have had them for some time and are "experts" on it. Your BI is done through contracted investigators.

From my experience, each background investigation had a different investigator and the polygraph was someone different also. When I had to do my Poly here in Buffalo, they sent me to the local Border Patrol office and an Agent working specifically to do polygraphs conducted mine. So I would say it depends on your location and what is available to MHC to use/contract to get it done.

Nikki - I'm waiting for my 2nd BI to clear too! Have you had to redo the PFT1 or medical? I'm afraid as soon as the BI clears those are going to go back to pending too. So frustrating!

For all of you that have taken the medical exam, is this a "normal" message for CASS? Or might there be an issue that needs further review?

Also for my VBT/SI*last thursday CASS changed to "Your interview has been scheduled" however its going to be a week and I have not received a call or letter with the "scheduled" appointment? can anyone shed any light on this?

Thanks in advance for your help!

i was at my VBT with a girl who is also going to laredo texas, there was a guy there for that position as well. Trust me, you are never alone. I picked Texas (all other borders) and i have not seen anyone with that, so i definately feel alone. I wish you luck.
