  • Pretty sure your background and medical will.

Not sure about the fit test but since it's similar to cbpo 's one, I don't see a problem with it.

Thanks for taking the time to answer my question merlin. Now, if that's the case, what's the procedure to notify MHC? I'd like to assume that, given the fact that since it's DHS, they automatically do it since is on the system.

      • Both OBP and OFO are sub-components of CBP. Both offices process new applicants out of MHC.
In short, they should have easy access to both an applicant's BP and OFO pre-hiring status.

If you want, shoot them an email asking what steps currently carry over from one application to another. That'll let you know what steps currently cross-over between the applications...and it'll nudge MHC into correcting what needs to be corrected...if anything does.

my friend is going through both agencies and he told me that the medical carry over from one agency to the next but not the physical. As far as the background well im not sure about that one. Anyway hope this helps.

WOW! This process is insane! I have much earlier TO/TSU than him and I even did a poly earlier this year. I got the call last week to redo my medical for the 2nd time. I still havent got the call for the 2nd Drug test. This dont make sense anymore. So I guess if you have something pending, theyre really going to skip to the next available applicant?

                    • Transcripts are required if basing any part of your qualifications on education. Education must be from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Education obtained from a foreign university or college is not creditable unless it has been evaluated by an organization that specializes in interpretation of education credentials. For a listing of accrediting agencies, please see http://www.naces.org/members.htm. ( I took this paragraph from the job announcement from for the Marine Interdiction Agent position for Customs)

Access that website and a list of agencies will be provided. I had my foreign education evaluated by the International Education Research Foundation Inc. . I just had to submit a form with my transcripts and a small fee to their office. I received a copy of the evaluation within two weeks.

yes because you are no longer totally "cleared" people are thinking they hold your spot in line. They pull you out of line if you have to refresh a process. Then once you clear then you are back where you were originally but if they need a new hire while you were out..........you miss out.

                        • Hi all been reading these forums since my TO in 2009. I'm just trying to figure out if any one knows what date they are hiring by. I am applied to Washington northern border and TO date of 1/2009 and referred to schedule my eod on 6/1/2011. Yet another person with a TO of 4/2009 and referred on 6/2/2011 just got the call for blaine. Im glad calls are going out and grats to those getting them. But i just am frustrated about not knowing what is going on.

                            • Wow, after receiving a few emails about changing my GEO to the SWB, I thought long and hard about it, but seeing as that I just got married, I declined that offer and waited out my current GEO selection. I tested back in December 2010, got my NOR in Feb 2011, and guess what? Just got my TO for the Northern Virginia area (Sterling/Alexandria)!

I'm filling out the paperwork now, but I was honestly surprised to receive a TO this soon (I thought maybe another year or so).

Does anyone know how strict they are with the vision requirement? I wear contacts all the time, but my vision is just awful without them. I'm 20/20 with them on, but worse than 20/100 without them. Is that a DQ?
