Recent CBPO Posting

Does anyone have information about this recent posting? I'm curious if somehow it was an erroneous posting as it was only for one day. My guess is that this group of eligibles may have been missed in a previous announcement. I'm qualified and applied, but who knows if it will materalize.......

For those who had to do their preemployment forms for a second time: did your preemployement forms change to uncompleted in CASS? Right now, only my background is still pending.

First it was the BI that needed to be updated (FCRA), and then probably about 2 months later I received the pre-employment forms again to fill out- which made the pre-employment forms turn to incomplete. I figure that I was because I moved recently and they needed updated information from me. Once I sent that off, about a month later pre-employment forms were considered complete, and my BI was pending in security office. 2-3 months later my BI cleared again without needing to meet up with an investigator.

The first phase of the San Ysidro border expansion is suppose to be completed in 2014. But the way things currently are with the government and budget cuts, the need for more CBP officers may not happen until the economy and border travel picks up.

I finally got the call! After 3 years in this process from start to finish. I'll be at the San Ysidro Port for a week or two prior then, off to FLETC on April 12th through August 16th. Keep your head up fellas, and don't lose hope- especially those in the SWB.

When I tried to call back Jessica, she was busy on the phone with someone else, so I'm guessing they're really pushing hard to fill in the spots for the class that starts in April 12th. Here's hoping you get called too!

As far as the background, I think since you cleared to TSU, you don't have to worry about everything being cleared prior to them calling you for an position.
