  • If it is any comfort, the failure notices go out first. Failure is much easier to recognize.
Life is what happens while you are waiting for something better to come along.

When I contacted the number from the announcement last week the lady I spoke with said scores won't be until the end of Jan. So who knows but hopefully what you posted is true.

Okay, thanks. I do have one more additional question on the process: What are the most difficult ports to get hired at in the U.S.?

          The ones that are full.

          Sorry couldn't resist.

Actually it changes from day to day, month to month. There are people on here who applied at port with a "dire need". They were tested and completed several phases of the application process a couple years ago, but are still waiting to be hired. I really don't think anybody knows which ports are the best to hire at. The ones right now that are having a push are on the southwest border. The problem is there are many people in line waiting to be hired even at those ports.
But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new guards for their future security.

For the intelectually challenged: If the government screws the people enough, it is the right and responsibility of the people to revolt and form a new government.

              Sorry couldn't resist!

Patience my friend, if you're already getting upset at not having received your NOR... imagine what you'll feel like waiting for years to see if you get the job or not.

                • I'm looking for someone that's been to FLETC Charleston recently for training. An associate of mine and I (we are Regulatory Auditors with CBP) are due to go down there for several weeks of training this month and next. How are the living conditions down there now? I've seen some horror stories from old posts on other forums, but wondered about recent experiences. I'm driving my POV and my associate is flying. We aren't going through any physical training- just the classroom stuff, so don't worry about the CBPO training stuff - Thanks.
                  I carry a badge...and a sharp pencil.

                  • Just out of curiosity, would anyone know much about the Sector Enforcement Specialist? Is this a dispatcher/telecommunications position or something similar?

Yes, I tested December 15th, and I received an email containing my NOR on 12/21/10. May sound silly but make sure you are checking your spam folders just in case it went there.

                            That's exactly what it is.

From what I've heard most people are staying off center at a local hotel. They do have dorms near the river, but I haven't heard of too many CBP people staying there. The dorms next to the chow hall have been torn down and the dorms "off center" across the big parking lot from the main CBP school house aren't being used any longer, either.
