    Big Pat, you never done anything wrong to me, so I'm just gonna say chill out and don't even acknowledge comments made by someone just to get a rise out of you.

    And to everyone else that's involved with this arguing needs to just relax being stuck in TSU waiting and waiting is frustrating enough. We should all be mature enough not to feed into this, better yet we should all be helping one another, because situations where one person does not like each other happens a millions times a day, just deal with it.

    • I got an urgent message from Mary. Here is the main part: STOP CALLING! Her staff can't get anything done trying to answer all the questions aqbout the new way they will be calling people. Essentially she said that they will be using your certificate date, which is a date that you do not know.

      "She has confirmed a rumor that 'Yes, the calls are being prioritized differently. The calls are being made based on the date the certificate was issued. This date is not known to the applicant, only to this office. Sometimes the TO letter and certificate date are the same but it is not always the case so really can’t go by that to figure out if your next in line.'"

      Guess who all these calls are coming from???? Yup, THIS forum, so knock it off, Folks.

      Another quote:

      "I know it is painful for those that have been sitting here almost a year and haven’t gotten offer yet but our expectation is that we will eventually call everyone and make an offer. You could say that the Hiring Center wants to make sure everyone stays in shape for the 2nd fitness test so we are mixing things up so you can’t figure out when we will call so you have to stay in shape in the event the call comes."

        Thanks Merlin!! Yeah it makes sense, I was able to somehow get my certificate date, which was dated a week before my TO....I'm not sure if that's the case for everybody.

          Awww but Merlin, it's just so fun torturing ourselves by doing this. The longer it takes the more convinced I am that this is a psychological test. Which prospective CBPO will break down and tell off MHC first, thereby removing them from the "cert list"? If I didn't know any better I would think that the HR dept. at CBP loves to watch us suffer through this "process".

          • Most importantly, all you guys calling up and bugging MHC about this and/or other picayune and/or unnecessary matters are just jamming up the hiring staff.
            The more time they spend in a day dealing with largely irrelevant stuff on the phone, the less time each day they have to move forward with hiring people.

              I was more or less referencing the charts and trying to figure out where we are in the applicant pool for that geo, etc...

              I completely agree with you and I'm sure most people can relate to this. If clients/people keep calling me to ask me the status of their case it makes it more difficult for me b/c I have to stop and explain to them that I was working on it before they called. lol

                I agree, calling and bugging the hiring staff is not good. However, I hardly believe it’s effecting the hiring. Two years ago when they were hiring hundreds each month calling might have hindered the office work, but now? What MHC is doing now is just a drop in the bucket to back then. I bet the calls are more annoying than anything else.
                It’s their own fault. They let one piece of information slip like the TSU/T.O. thing and it spreads like wild fire. They could easily stop calls by having their own blog/bulletin board and post any new or changing info on it. It could save them a lot of hassle.

                      • I was just looking on USA jobs today and theres like 17 Vacancies for CBP Officer (Course Developer/Instructor) at GA-Glynco..
                        Im sure things are going to pick up soon.

                          That is a standing announcement that is open for 6 months. It will close and a new one will open. This is to get a pool of applicants for the rotational policy (Instuctors have to go back to the field after only a few years)

                          If you want to read something into hiring, they are hiring 5 new DT instructors at Artisia; Maybe they are going to move the academy I've been trying to get this rumor started for weeks, and nobody bites.
                          Life is what happens while you are waiting for something better to come along.

                              I buy it. Heard from a guy who heard from a guy's second cousin that one way or another we're out of Glynco and heading either west or north.

                              • They have been talking about a BPA/CBPO/IEA combined academy forever...it just won't happen. I have heard rumors about moving the basic academy to the advanced traning facilities.
