273, holy crap man! That's just nuts. I wonder how much people had to wait before 9/11 to get these jobs..

I thought the O-A-K and the Bay Area were busy enough to always need new hires.

                    • honestly I'm getting kind of impatient, been in TSU since 11/14/2008 for Massachusetts. I know Mass. is extremely competitive, but this is getting kinda crazy.

I'm really thinking of joining the military to get some experience/training, most likely thinking of trying to become military police.

P.S. I've interviewed with 3 local PD's and every time I get a letter telling me thanks but no thanks. (I scored a 93 out of 100 on my civil service exam and speak chinese fluently)

anyone have advice or want to share their experiences with the military?
Should I just wait it out?

BP has started using unmarked Ford 4 door F-150 pickup trucks for K9 vehicles. They remove the back seat and put the cage in there.

I was just wondering as a marked unit passed me the other day. I was not aware there was a pursuit driving course out now. I was just curious and its something to talk about on here. I wasn't sure if there are positions where you do get a vehicle. Thanks for the information.

                              Obviously -- DCH,

you have never worked in law enforcement or have had a take home car (I have and am). I asked as I want to learn about the job before I dive in. A vehicle is a huge bonus for anyone (like myself) who have had them issued. If CBP has promotional areas where this is possible, I wanted to know about them. That is what a forum (such as this) is for. I like to research and understand a career I am going into before I leave a pretty good career I have now.

Not trying to be an a**, but come on this is a forum to ask questions and learn about CBP.

                              Sorry to everyone else.
