I got a friend who graduated from FLETC about 6 months ago, he has been on the job about that long. I was talking to him last night, he is already disgruntled with the job. How does that happen so fast?

I feel your pain, I was just involved in a car accident a couple of days ago so I figure they'll probably start calling for E. Texas sometime this week....

I was pulled out of TSU for my fitness, re tested, put back in for 5 days, and then pulled again for my medical. My drug test expired about two weeks ago. Right after I do the medical they will realize my drug test expired and pull me again. Imagine testing all these applicants, only for many of us to have them expire and have to re test. What a waste of money. I bet if you add up the cost of all this re testing, they could have just kept hiring and broke even. They could save a ton of money by extending everyone’s test results by six months. How much of the budget is now being put out for re testing?

All is well with you...at least for the long term, I hope?

Rest up. If you haven't been called by now, chances are you won't be moving anywhere for the next 4 weeks or so even if you do get the call tomorrow.

                That's unfortunate.

                  It depends.

In many locations CBP tends to be "what it is" and is glaringly absent in "what it is not". Therefore, some people really like it...some can't stand it. Many develop the "8 hour" syndrome to cope. Work becomes only a paycheck; you show up, do your eight, and then the gate. You get your meaning and fulfillment in life from your friends, family and your life outside of work.

Same for me back in the spring. Pulled for fitness then medical like 2 weeks later. I asked them why they couldnt just do them together since they were at the same place, they said "sorry we overlooked that, had we realized it we would have scheduled them at the same time.". Do they do ANYTHING the common sense route?

Since when does the drug test expire? I havent heard of people having to go back in for this. Im assuming it takes more than a year since I had to refresh med/fitness but did not for the drug test?

Well under federal employment or applying for it, you are subject to random testing at any time.

You may have been a little vague in your original quals form. They might need a little more detail or info to see if you qualify for the particular grade level that you applied for.

Ya I had a conversation with my Bro (former CBPO, now with ICE) about that, we were both saying they're just wasting money with all these retest, but it is what it is, unfortunately!!
