  • I was just sitting here and had this question come to mind. Would any one have any idea why CBP calls to EOD have basically halted while EOD calls for BP are continuous? I know at the Delphi Forum for BP, they are always getting called up. Just curious.....maybe a little jealous.

      • Sytes--I also found the low of physical fitness of CBPO trainees to be rather embarrassing. With that stated there are several agencies that still have participate only standards for PT. Some who still have this standard I found rather surprising.

Something I've else learned is that each class' experience is very different. Heck we had a great disparity between one side of or class and the other. The side I was on ran almost every PT session. Our PT sessions typically consisted of grueling cardio workouts. The other side had more of a strength workout most days. Their typical workout (from their stories) consisted of going to the weight room for self directed lifting.
But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new guards for their future security.

For the intelectually challenged: If the government screws the people enough, it is the right and responsibility of the people to revolt and form a new government.

Cheers KC12. Very true - I will refrain from PTD names though one in particular is very active with cardio - and kuddo's to that instructor for the efforts put forth. A few other instructors felt tied down from doing what they felt was best for their class as well. My above post was not meant against any Instructor - more the lack of such ability to really work at the whole picture and how it was a distinguished identification at FLETC.
Weather was another contributable factor. (Black Flag - prob more specific to summer months.)

Having done the time there - I would have enjoyed more cardio activities and a more disciplined format. - Seems that is their goal... I look forward to seeing what people have to say for the program - those starting after Oct 1st. (If that date holds true). 15min is still 2 minutes above average LEO job requirements - though based on my experience - may work towards redefining CBP presence.

Sytes and KC12, Thanks for the answer to that question, I have been working out for quite some time, running an average of 5 miles every other day and trying not to push it that much for fear of injury before i get the EOD call. I wanted to know how their PT training was and that answered my question. By the way---- is this recent experiences that you guys have expirenced? like within the year?

            • TX - Every other day 5 miles - you will do just fine.
Your cardio is ready to go.
Fat content, Sit and reach, Bench press and agility are the other factors of the 1st and last PEB. It is more a good indicator to see the results of your time within PTD.
The focus with respect to testing where the majority of people had remedials was in the AT / DT aspects. Not able to go into details of such (not permitted) though I would say - confidence in AT and DT are utmost.
I would actually say, confidence is the leading attribute to successfully completing the course. Be it Questioning and Professionalism to Arrest Techniques.
You have more than enough time to study. As one PTD instructor stated something along the lines of,
Where the "heck" else will you be PAID to have a professional Instructor kicking your "butt", diet advise, complete workout equipment and track...? - So get the "heck" out there and GET PAID!

What a bunch of shi*. If they are gonna drop someone for not keeping in rhythm with that porno music, they might as well do it first. It'll save money and not waste peoples time doing the rest of the crap. Sorry about your luck.

Different jobs, different academies, different needs. Depending on location, lots of future PA's are currently left sitting on their hands awaiting the new FY too.

Another thing, the total number of applicants visiting here and/or Delphi is just a drop in the bucket compared to the total number of applicants processing through both systems at large. Most applicants visit neither site. We never hear their stories.

Right, BUT if we go to both sites and ask for average TSU Dates, we have a general ability to see where we stand. If nobody on either site is waiting for JFK prior to march - then maybe march is next to go?
