I'll be learing that stuff in the academy when I get there which hopefuly I will. I was just wondering because I read a post about doing reports and stuff on comp. and [email protected] JSJ stands for Sucks,Just Sucks lol. thank you once again SlowDownThere.

      • SDT, if there was anything that I was not looking forward to as a trooper it is SJS. Every time we got back from a ride along we had to mess around with it for hours. Most of them we just put CBI CBI CBI CBI. hehe. ...I can't wait though, this test needs to come sooner.

        • Congrats to the 74new troopers that just graduated the academy today.

I looked at the list of the people who graduated and where they are going, and 3 of them were from Long Island and all 3 are coming to Long Island so I guess I could end up being a State Trooper close to home perfect.

              • the troop station is just the troop station for FTO not permanent troop assignment. It is a temp stay for 10 weeks then 90% will be shipped elsewhere. Most likely the standard B, F and K troop

ooooooooooooooooooo :-(, That's weird I figure you would get your field training where you would be working, instead of you having to learn roads and everything for 10weeks and than sent some where else and having to go through the same process of learning the roads and so on, Oh well but w/e I'll be happy where ever they decide to send me :-), thanks for the Info FUCCO , I guess I might end up upstate for a while but that's ok ,question for you FUCCO so after the 10weeks of field training with the FTO you get assigned to your permanent troop or you could be bounce around for a while?

                      • u can stay at ur permanent station for ur career if u want to. Obvisouly most permanent stations are not where guys want to be. Therefore people are being transfered in and out all the time (volunteerly)

Me too. The information that was provided at the medical on June 30 was you would know something within two weeks. While I am not setting in stone that I will know by this saturday, it sure would be nice.

I spoke to my recruiter on Monday and she stated that we should hear something by the end of the week. As of Monday, she did not receive her list of candidates being appointed to the academy.
