And yes for the tattoos they will take a picture of them tell you either yay or ney and then ask if you are willing to get them removed. they will defer you and i believe you can do the first part of processing. I know that there were people there last time with a sleeve going through that weekend so i guess i can only go on what they did back on April

Correct me if I'm wrong. If you defer, but continue within the (1st) process, then your scores are invalid. The reason is because you're defering until next "potential class", not academy.

As far as the tattoo documentation goes, if you have a tattoo deemed visible in the shirt, do they let you continue with the physical test and processing if you agree to remove it? Or do you immediately have to defer and are no longer able to continueNYPD Exam 3309

I honestly dont understand your statement or question. I completed the first processing weekend but had to defer during my background. They allowed me to reactivate for this academy. Hopefully that makes sense. I may be an exception to the rule. Not sure.
For what its worth, my situation was an unusual one. As the website says, deferements are handled on a case by case basis. They dont want you to process for an academy your not going to attend, which is why it sounds like they told you to defer or process based upon your willingness to commit to the spring academy.Last edited by Whitty; 09-09-2014, 12:50 AM.
