Yes, I agree. Supervisors are especially lining up to retire. Of the 12 supervisors in my zone, 10 of them are eligible to retire. And several of us are actually starting to talk about it. Just wait until we start 10 hour shifts (yuk).

Once it gets nearly impossible to get a day off (we are not there yet) many of us will go, thereby making the problem worse. I've already had to cancel my scheduled vacation over Christmas week because it would short us. I mean, i guess I could still take it off, but that would screw the guys left to work.

        • After this one, one more semester for me! And then 6 at a graduate level. Hang in there is right. Enjoy the ~3 week break (I normally get a little over a month but not this time around) you get because come January, we'll both be having tons of "fun."

With the way the economy has been I have been looking into going back to school to get my MBA. Not what I want to do for the rest of my life, but hey it can never hurt to have it, plus paying for it is helped by my current employer!

            • Can't beat employer paid (or even partially paid) education! Score well on the GMAT. I didn't do too hot on the LSAT so it limited my options. Standardized tests make civil service exams seem like a cake walk.

              • I always loved finals/ crunchtime with papers etc. It was one time you'd see people using all assets available (library packed, study groups full, etc).

Done that a couple of times before (major snow storm and grand jury in another troop) but that night was a pass day when another Trooper on the opposite platoon banged in. Can't beat 11p-5a on the desk.

Had grand jury yesterday - pass day.

Oversized escort coming up - pass day.

I will end up one grand jury short of 100 hours this year... not bad but not good either (600+ hours in 2006).

Show me the OT. I am in need of funds to build up the new Ford aluminum 5.0 (read 347 stroker) block.

What I couldn't believe was how common it was for students to abuse Adderall to get things done and study. I only really noticed it 06, 07, but from what friends and family tell me it's still blowing up. Dangerous addictive stuff but people think its like a cup of coffee. Anyways, Good luck all! Adderall is very adictive yet from what I hear very productive as well. One of my friends goes to Clemson, everyone uses it. Great study aid I'm sure. I do it the old fashioned way, tons of coffee and when i get tired slap myself in the face. This is the first weekend of no partying for me

                    Thanks firm and Vee.

I'm off until January 18th pretty sweet. But as soon as I get back, I have to crack down because of baseball where I will get my *** kicked! Hopefully I will be able to have some "fun" though

I have seen (stared at for hours) the new mustang and it made me throwup a little in my mouth. I will however be working out all the finances required to drop a 'slightly' modified version of the new aluminum block in my car in 3 years when the aftermarket kicks in. If the new stock motor is really 412 HP, as was leaked earlier this week, my modded car should be able to stay pretty close to door to door with a stock 2011 GT.

If they fix the rearend, I will jump on a brand new stripped down all black GT.

It's also a day back in 2006 when Trooper4985 probably worked most of his OT.
