Anyone have any information on out of state transfers to Tennessee?

From Florida looking to relocate. Do they accept out of state certs or is it back to the academy again?


While on the topic...anyone know anything about S.O's vs. PD's up there? Any good agencies in the Bristol/Johnson city area that can be recommended?

You may have your answer by now, but here you go anyway. You would not have to attend the academy, but you would have to challenge the P.O.S.T, which just consists of a test. I do not know if you get a study guide or what, but do beef up on your gang knowledge. Any decent department you apply for would have any of the information you need. Recommended departments.....Franklin, Brentwood, Nashville. Central Tennessee departments will pay better than East or West. Tell me where you are aiming for and I will advise.....Good Luck
