question about Indianapolis police

Great department. However they are on a hiring freeze and have been all yr (2005). Several friends from college work there and love it.

Don't ever take anyones word regarding a dept. It's all biased unless it's someone you trust. I recommend you sign up for two or three ride-a-longs and ask the officer you are riding with. See what his/her input is. Are they happy? Are they staying or are they in the process of looking else where and why? Seeing and hearing first hand is better than on some forum that may steer you in the wrong direction. It's your life and career.
