I was wondering if anyone is currently in the process...I put in an application a while ago and almost forgot about it until I received a call to answer some preliminary questions...from what I understand it's mostly surveillance work and can get boring...but it can also get the clock started and maybe could potentially be a stepping stone for a SA position......??

I can't remember honestly, I put in for so many positions...somewhere within the last 6 months

I just put in for it today. When I was an intern with DEA, an agent told me about this position and he told me is a great opportunity to get experience. What's your background if you do not mind me asking?

Yes a few people.. Staff operations specialists also convert to SA.
