Did you get your medical appointment done yet?
Have they invited you to the one stop processing?

Oh ok. I haven't had any issues so I should be good with no paperwork. They've never asked paperwork in any other medical evaluation concerning lasik.

            ICE is different.
They will ask for you to go get an eye exam because of your LASIK. You have to use their (ice) form also. After getting that form completed you can fax it in with the other disability check ups. So just wait until they ask you for it. I suggest Costco
That's where I got mine and they are really quick on appointments

Don't they do the eye exam there at the medical evaluation? I guess we'll see what they wanna do.

Yup! As you know the govt is very repetitive and you will soon find out. The eye exam is just to make sure you not blind or color blind. When they find out about the LASIK surgery ICE will tell u to go see a specialist on ur dime and get the forms filled out

Yeah I'm sure they will ask for something. We'll see.. I just emailed them to ask about that and see what response they give me. If they say no, I'll probably still get my lasik records from the office and bring them with me just in case. Last thing I want is a delay because of a surgery from almost 3 years ago

                  • I just stumbled upon this thread so I apologize if this was already asked but if you already completed most of the pre employment process (interview, fitness test, medical, drug test, etc.) do you have to do it all again at the "one stop shop" thing? It asked if I was attending so I just put yes rather than saying no and potentially missing out on something. Obviously I prefer not to do everything all over again but I'll do whatever is necessary to advance. I'm currently still in the background investigation which I hear can take a very long time. I've already sat down with an agent a few months ago and since then I've been called multiple time by other investigators to verify info and such so hopefully it's nearing it's completion.

"You requested to attend a One-Stop pre-employment event for the Entry Level Deportation Officer position. I wanted to inform you that you do not need to attend the One-Stop and your name has been removed from the attendance list since you have completed and cleared the medical/fitness/drug and structured oral interview. This event is being held for those applicants who have not completed the pre-employment process."

If you've done the process in the past year you got this email.

Yes. As long as they matched your DO application up with your IEA application, you should have received that email.

If I don't receive that email within the next day or 2, should I assume that there was an issue matching up my IEA app with the DO one?

Maybe. Wouldn't hurt to email the applicant status email box.
