Not with the last posting. I don't know for sure if there will be a written test with this posting.

This posting asks if you're willing to go to one of like five locations around the country where they will offer multiple steps in one place, so who knows how this process will go.

Am I the only one who thought those questions on the assessment were a little too specific for an entry level "trainee" position?

Someone could be a cop or special agent for 20 years and still have to answer "I have zero education or experience" for half of those questions if you answered them literally. A couple of the questions even asked if youve used specific forms (ie I-213 Record of removable aliens).

Every basic rookie LE question they just added 'alien' to the end of, such as - "Secured and safely transported arrested aliens"

Why not just ask - "Secured and safely transported arrestees/inmates"?

Are illegal aliens different than any body else I've hooked and booked? Do they have considerations I'm unaware of which makes their transportation completely unique from other humans? Perhaps they turn into gremlins if I spill water on them, or a wolf during full moon?... I digress.

Good luck to all the BP/CBP looking to switch.

I was thinking the same thing. Qualifications wise on the usajobs section I easily qualified but those questions they asked almost all of them were 0 experience for me.

Agreed. I was suprised by the questions also for an entry level position. I wonder if this is going to be more geared to those that are already CBPO's and Border Agents?

Just curious. Is this uniformed, plain clothes, or both?

From what I have been seeing with the announcement back in Feb, no.

So basically I should've picked the question where to do it all at once in NY,TX and etc.

Damn. Is it too late to change my answer then? I chose DC. If I can, what locations are badly needed?

Yes you can update it still while announcement is open, just make sure you hurry up and submit the application again.

As far as location, from what I gather you never really know but I would assume the SW border would need people.

I changed my GEO to SWB.

Also, I'm hoping that one-stop location to complete the process works out for me. I live right near Tampa, and it'd be great to do everything there.
