CBP did so in anticipation of the 2015 mandate that all new applications would take a polygraph... that was pushed to 2016... 2017... to ?
CBP has been giving the polygraph to every applicant since 2010.

If only that were true.. lol.

I was hired in 2011. I was 1 of 4 in my class that had a polygraph. The other 40 didn't.

Even our new new hires are hit and miss. No rhyme or reason.

Maybe the other 40 applied before the poly was implemented? Lol

Highly unlikely as I took the test in 2007 and deferred until 2009.

New hires now ALL take it. No questions asked, at least for Border Patrol. You can absolutely not get hired without it. I am at a sector, and my classmate/main homie is in recruiting, and he confirmed.

Not saying your wrong but I know for a fact that some newbs with under two years on the job did not have to take polys. It wouldn't shock me if BP was 100% as the guy that did my poly was your IA (now Office of Professional Responsibility, right?) guy that does poly's for new hires, etc. A big part of the problem was the lack of trained personnel to administer polygraphs! Hence why CBP solicited some special titled job last year... or two years ago... to basically do polygraphs for new hires. I'm all for it but that's another topic for another day.

CBP consists of BP and OFO. When you say BP to refer to BP and CBP to refer to OFO, you add confusion. A CBP polygraph examiner can do BP applicants and OFO applicants, correct?

Lol, CBP might contain OFO and BP but when I say CBP I am referring to OFO as BP hardly EVER associates being under the same umbrella as OFO, lol. BPA's know what I am talking about...

Yes, we have even had applicants go to DOJ examiners too. There is such a shortage the whole way around.

Rumor has it that because FLETC classes had been canceled due to so many BPA transfers off this announcement that ICE is tryin to push more street hires to fill academy slots by stopping the hiring of BPAs for a while. . . Might just be a rumor though.

Hopefully they open it up again with non specific immigration KSAs.

I've come to realize that it doesn't even matter what the application questions are, everyone will just mark expert on everything regardless. Im interested to see if on the next announcement only 5 and 10 pt vets get TSLs due to NOR cutoffs of 105+.

Can't do that on a US Citizens announcement.
I've seen cutoff of 100 for applications before but not 105.

For that, it has to say status candidates only.
As far as I know and have seen before.
