Is the academy 13 weeks plus 5 weeks of Spanish or 13 weeks including 5 weeks of Spanish?

I'm terrible with math but 13 + 5... isn't that 18 weeks? Did they extend the academy or something? What am I missing? I wish I knew more about the academy. I only remember a handful of guys going through their training while I was down there.

Ah, copy, I see what you are saying. Same thing happened when I went down to Flea-Tac for CBP. Started in early September and didn't graduate until mid February because we hit every... single... holiday and break.

Other then the mile and a half and CTT course... is there any other PT requirement that MUST be passed? Or is that it?

In the Pre-Academy Orientation pamphlet and a couple other places in our paperwork, it states that the integrated basic training program is 13 weeks. That's 13 weeks of training and an additional 5 weeks of DRO Spanish at the tail end for a total of 18. I'm not sure where the extra time mentioned would come from..

It's a new program and they haven't updated anything when it comes to paper work. I was the 3rd class to graduate so rest assure that u will be there for a good while beyond 18 weeks. Maybe they don't count weekends in the 7 day week..... Nothing really makes sense in the process.

You'll do the O course and run 3 times while there. First week which has been sending some slobs home from recent classes who showed up not prepared. 1630 1.5 and 2:40 or some joke of a number for the O course, if you can't do it in under 1:40 and the run under 1430 like is required for mid term and final PE you have issues.. The PT tests are the easiest PT days you will have.

Anyone from Tampa heard back re: the status of their medical exam yet? Have you been cleared or contacted to submit additional information or see a specialist etc.? Anyone from Tampa OS cleared BI process yet?

Has anyone from the Tampa OS heard anything back from medical? I received a call from the BI for this week, but didn't know if I would hear from medical or not. Also, is anyone applying for the Atlanta office? If so, any offers yet?
