These are the tentative dates for upcoming classes. June 23; August 18; and September 29.

    • Finally took the exam at the Seattle field office, 4 years later! WOW... we shall see if I passed or not

      • I have completed everything only waiting on the physical exam. Seattle Office, no news is good news? Apparently, I will be waiting for the hiring panel to make the final decision! Such a long road, hopefully, it's worth it!

Good stuff. Took a long time overall but things went fast for you since August. Did you hear anything from HQ or is this all coming from your recruiter?

      • Lone-ranger After calling number after number I finally found a point of contact at the DEA Office (HQ) and she told me that everything looks good! just waiting for my physical which is next month and the hiring panel! what is the hiring panel lol!

I'm guessing it's a group at HQ that reviews the application packages and determines if you're suitable for hire.

I have been unofficially reopened twice. I've had to redo steps and those steps were about to expire again. I went a year without talking to them so they reopened my recruitment. The second time is because I had previously said I won't do anymore steps or PTT until they complete my BI. I've only received 1 letter stating my file is being reopened. I can't tell you how many trips from Salem Oregon to Seattle I have made, so I have definitely done my part.

      • Anyone hear or know possibly the next hiring announcement the DEA will have?

      • I thought I would share something I heard from Agents. They have roughly 5000 Special Agents and of those, 4000 are eligible or coming up on retirement eligibility. Absolutely crazy right?

Ahahaha, I've done everything a couple times. I seriously need the call and a location. I will have a very complicated move. Wife is a partner in a practice that she will have to leave, big expensive house and property that will take awhile to sell, farm animals, construction equipment, multiple classic cars in various states of disassembly, etc. I really need to get a jump on this stuff before I leave. As all my friends and coworkers tell me, "First World Problems."

      • Got the call on Thursday for class 220. They offered ZERO locations on my preference sheet. The three locations they did offer are all hardships for being able to complete the last three years of my military service. Hopefully I can get them to reconsider.
