  • CA Dept. of Insurance, Fraud Division Detective Openings (Morgan Hill)

    The California Department of Insurance, Fraud Division, Silicon Valley Regional Office (Morgan Hill) is currently seeking to fill multiple Detective Positions. We are seeking applicants that have already earned their Criminal Justice degrees or anticipate earning them in the next 6-8 months.

    • Job Posting for the open positions within the Silicon Valley Regional Office (Morgan Hill)
    • Informational flyer regarding the position.
    • Flyer for Open House Information Session on August 26th.

    Those interested in applying for the position should follow the instructions under the “APPLICATION PROCEDURE” section of the Job Posting. Also if those that are interested in learning more about the position as well the Department are encouraged to attend the Open House Information Session on August 26th.

    A State Investigator Exam with a minimum score of 70% is required to become list eligible for the position. The exam can be found at:

    Will people earning their degrees this upcoming spring (May, a couple of months past the 6-8 months you mentioned in the original post) be automatically DQ'd due to not possessing a degree soon enough?

      The degree would be required at the time of hiring/appointment which would be after the background is completed. A degree taking longer than 5 months to complete would most likely take you beyond the background check phase.
