CORRECTION: NOT FOR RECENT GRADS, CURRENT STUDENTS ONLY

For those of you who are completing college, this is a great opportunity to become a criminial investigator. This is a paid position at the GS 04/05 level with promotion potential to GS-09.

After completion of the pathways program, you may be eligible for non-competitive conversion to a federal career or career-conditional position as a Criminal Investigator.

After the conversion to full-time criminal investigator, I believe your promotion potential will be a GS-13.

    USAJobs Announcement: https://my.usajobs.gov/GetJob/ViewDetails/372884200

**After rereading the annoucement and getting clarification, this announcement is NOT for recent grads. This is for CURRENT college students ONLY** Sorry for the misunderstanding

OPM Intern fact sheet for more info: http://www.opm.gov/policy-data-overs...am-Fact-Sheets

    Good luck!

Judging by what you said (and the announcement as to what GS5 qualifies as), one can still be eligible for this is they just graduated correct? I only want to clarify because a question on the application asks if you are currently enrolled in a university, but since I just graduated I am technically not. But then it moves on to ask if you have completed four years.

This is ICE Special Agent 1811, correct? I've always been confused by positions marked "trainee", since all positions requiring training I thought

Edit: Sorry, brainfart. So it's a pathway program that leads to ICE 1811?

I didn't read the announcement because I cannot be called a recent grad, but from what I have seen, pathways announcements are for current students and recent grads (within 2 years I think).

After rereading the annoucement and looking up the OPM Pathways fact sheet (http://www.opm.gov/policy-data-overs...am-Fact-Sheets), this may ONLY apply to CURRENT students and NOT recent grads. I too, was looking at the GS-5 qualification stating a 4 years post high school education. However, if you read the OPM website, there is a recent graduate specific announcement, which this annoucement does not state.

I applied for the job anyway but I may have to edit the subject regarding "recent grads"

I suppose I will apply anyway...kind of a bummer if it is only current students.

Crap, would have been a good opportunity had I not just graduated.

I graduated with my M.A. in January, but went ahead and applied anyway. Too bad though, I don't believe I've seen anything with 1811 potential on the recent graduate front.
