  • 2013 Boarder Patrol Hiring

I recently applied for the Border Patrol and took the test on March 16, 2013 in Atlanta. During the test, the recruiter stated we would get the results in 4-6 weeks but still have not heard anything. I just want to know if anyone else took it and how long did it take for the results.

You should ask this question in the Border Patrol thread.

So it's basically exactly 6 weeks and you haven't heard anything.

I think 4-6 weeks was likely just an estimate. I'd wait it out a bit longer (this IS, after all, the federal government)

The Honor First forum (link) would be a better resource for you to use in order to get an idea of timelines for various steps in the hiring process. 4-6 weeks is a fair estimate, but it's certainly not an absolute.

            Border Patrol, not boarder.

Considering that this is the agency I work for, I would appreciate it if those who want to work with me at least knew how to spell our agency's name.

Of course explaining that to someone such as yourself was a waste of time.

Boarder- "Someone who rides a board, such as a snowboard or surfboard, as a sport."
Border- "The line or frontier area separating political divisions or geographic regions; a boundary."

As you can see I spelled it incorrectly once, it was obviously a mistake. Taking it way to seriously there.

Not really sure why an entirely new thread was necessary.

I took the test in San Antonio on march 27th. We were told the scores would be emailed in 7 to 10 weeks but I anticipate it potentially taking longer though. Im a US Marshals intern and the deputies tell me never believe timeframes they give you when applying for fed LE jobs. Pretty much I guess were going to have to kick back and wait this out....
