  • Getting Hired with an Inconsistent Employment History

I am applying to several agencies in Upstate NY right now as well as MPDC (my dream job). I'm 22, have no criminal history and a solid bachelors degree from a reputable University. My concern with regard to the hiring process (particularly the background investigation) is my employment history. Throughout high school and in the first two years of college, I worked at at least 6 or 7 part time jobs (coffee house, bookstore, bar-back, etc.) for a month, a week, maybe even a shift, then decided they suck and quit. Since then I've reversed the trend but recently started a new job and quit right away because a much better opportunity came along, so now I have another job to add to the list. If anyone has any insight into how negatively this will impact my chances I would really appreciate it!

You are fine. Nobody will care. You are 22.

Lack of experience may hurt you though.

HS and college students are job hoppers.
